I Was Excited, But Now I'm Super-Excited for Tonight's Discussion with @valerie_bolling. A Few Spots Remain @writingproject @penguinrandom @cwpfairield

So, tonight, I have the honor and privilege of hosting a CWP-Fairfield dance party for author Valerie Bolling, whose book, Let's Dance, will be featured, read, celebrated, and used to promote everything awesome about teaching writing

This is the National Writing Project way.

Valerie Bolling, published by Penguin Random House (woot woot), will be visiting us online, reading her book, sharing her writing processes, and helping me to prompt parents, teachers, families, and kids to write together (of course, this is before we host a dance party).

The Great Whatever is at work with this, as I've been finger-snapping Valerie Bolling, a CWP-Fairfield teacher-leader, coach/mentor/writer/dreamer/and leader for Greenwich Public Schools, and  debuting author with one of the leading publishing houses for children's and young adult texts!

To sign up (there is limited viewing for this special program), individuals can go to: https://forms.gle/nfpNqGHGU2Bo2bpPA (the process and information is there).

Last night, Valerie Bolling, and I (and her husband, too - who also went through CWP-Fairfield) did a run-through and had so much fun. I felt like Ellen Degeneres, and found myself sliding, and wiggling, and bopping, and popping as we set forth our plans.

Here's what I can tell you: (1) we will draw and write with prompts for kids, parents, and teachers, (2) we will experience the incredible book, Let's Dance, with the author herself, (3) we will have time to ask questions of the author and to learn about her writing processes, and (4) WE ARE SO DANCING. What's a book debut with out a dance party?

What a pleasure to have Valerie Bolling - a CWP-Fairfield alum - to grace us with her teaching, writing, and reading expertise.

Boom! Who is luckier than me? then us? Put on your dancing shoes.
